HEAT SHRINKABLE ACCESSORIES

Heat shrinkable products are determined mainly for connecting and closing of all kinds of cables, they are suitable also for application apart from cable engineering. Characteristic property of all heat shrinkable products is capability of shrinking to smaller diameter by heat. A safe span and seal of treated object are provided by combination with heat melting adhesive put on inner side of these products.
Heat shrinkable products are made of radiation-induced cross-linking polyethylene; they have needed electro-insulating and thermo oxidation stability.
Heat shrinkable products are delivered in accordance to PN VUKI 22 001 – Heat shrinkable products.

Application instructions:

Heat shrinkable product is heated by application to temperature cca 150 °C - 200°C with burner or hot-air gun. Operating procedure is as following: Actual part of object (for instance cable end), on which the product should be shrinkable, is being cleaned, removed from grease and roughen by abrasive cloth.  After putting on, heat shrinkable product is heated with hot air or flame, which is set as soft and luminous. Heat source should be moved along and also around shrinking object; it should be taken care not to cause local overheating. By shrinking it is proceeded commonly from middle to edge (exception is TZUK, where it is proceeded from the bottom of shutter) in a way that creation of air bubbles is avoided. Necessary overall overheating of heat shrinkable product is expressed by rings of leaked out heat melting adhesive at ends, which we do not remove after getting cold. Detailed manuals are made to particular heat shrinkable products and accessories.

Packaging, delivering, storage and transport:
Heat shrinkable products (and some complements) are commonly delivered in following package:
1. Heat shrinkable tubing with 1m length (by the type TZH only 0,5m) in PE bags (more pieces). The length can be modified by agreement between customer and supplier.
2. Heat shrinkable sleeves with closing strip in PE bags (commonly one piece).
3. Heat shrinkable end caps in carton boxes (more pieces).
4. All types of heat shrinkable joints (ZR, ZM, SVCZ etc.) in one piece (i.e. set) in PE bag.
5. Branching sets to joints ZR and ZM in two pieces in PE bags.
6. Joints ZM and 05 ZR to 6 ZR are further packed into carton boxes (more pieces).
7. All other heat shrinkable joints except for above mentioned in point 6 are further packed into bigger PE bags (more pieces).

Other ways of packaging can be used by agreement between customer and supplier. Heat shrinkable products must be stored in covered dry places at temperature from -30°C to +50°C and cannot be (during storage) exposed to direct solar radiation. By transport attention must be paid to prevent mechanical or other damages of products and their covers.
