The operating life of cables in the environment of primary zone of nuclear reactor VVER 440 meets least 40 years for current temperatures up to 60 °C and temperatures at an accident 127 °C. In addition to that, they must comply with demanding and often opposing requirements, such e.g. the requirement of a big escape accident (LOCA – Loss of Coolant Accident), they are to be resistant against total nuclear radiation 319 kGy.
