OPTICAL CABLES

Optical cables are serving for transmission of signals and data by light energy radiation, mainly for long distances. In comparison with classic metallic cables their advantage is large transmission capacity of cable line and elimination of negative electromagnetic field effect to transmission signal quality. They have small dimensions and weight, small attenuation and they are resistive to wiretapping. By their design, they are intended for building of telecommunication and computer networks, transmission of cable television signals, for use in industry information systems and automatization and measuring instrumentation.
Optical fibres used in our cables are products of leading world producers of fibre optics.
Cables are determined for outdoor and indoor installation. They may be buried, placed to concrete blocks, placed or blown into PE tubes; self-supporting types can be used for aerial installation. The cable construction can be modified by customer's request.

Specifications of optical cables comply with the corresponding technical standards STN EN, STN IEC and works standards PN VUKI. Cables intending for use in Slovak republic telecommunication network have certificate of VÚS Banská Bystrica.

Supply, packing and storage:
Optical cables are supplied wound on metal or wooden drums with diameter of 500 up to 1500 mm; shorter lengths rounded to coils.
Any delivered lengths have to be accompanied by a test protocol and a label showing:
- Producer's mark
- Cable type
- Production date
- Cable length in meters
- Inspection seal

By customer's request cable may be marked with legend on jacket at the whole length of cable.
Cables may be stored at open-air area or in warehouses. They may not be exposed to thermal radiation and stored together with flammable liquids or solvents or with products which contain these materials.
During transport must be cared about not to cause damage to cables by gross mechanical or other effects.
