Other impregnating substances:
Epoxy impregnating resins
Epoxy impregnating resins are one-component or two-component impregnating resins, based on modified epoxy resin. They are designated for impregnation of windings of alternator rotors and high speed rotating electrical machines for domestic and hand appliances of thermal class F-H. It is typical for its low level of volatile substance – „VOC = 0“, high mechanical strength, very good penetration into the winding, short curing time at 160 °C. Epoxy impregnated windings have extraordinary mechanical strength, resistance to solvent vapors, transformer oils and refrigerator liquids.
Impregnating enamels
Impregnating enamels are suitable as varnish resistant to sneak currents, when it provides toughness, impermeability, insulation properties by different natural conditions. Some types are suitable for impregnation of transformers, chokes and different types of electrical engines. In H class enamels dry faster by applying thin layer, whereby they provide very effective electrical insulation and excellent noise reduction. Cured enamel has got very good resistance to transformer oil, moisture according to BSEN 600464 type 1.1 (IEC 600464) and it is suitable for application in class B and F of insulation system. Enamels are fungicide, which gives very low hazard of fungal attack. Type 372 – 2000 is exceptionally suitable for tropical modification of electrical engines and transformers.
