APPLICATION

External full-plastic heat shrinkable joints SVCZ are determined for splicing of five-core plastic cables type AYKY, CYKY etc. up to rated voltage 1 kV.

MARKING

Marking consists of characters SVCZ and a number to indicate the cross-section of phase core.
If joint includes pressing cable connectors for conductor connecting (LKS) designated for splicing of conductor cores marking is finished by character S Cu resp. A Al.
Marking examples:
SVCZ 5 x 35 – S Al heat shrinkable joint for cable AYKY (CYKY) 5 x 35 with aluminium pressing cable connectors (LKS).
SVCZ 5 x 25 - heat shrinkable joint for cable AYKY (CYKY) 5 x 25 (without LKS)

CHARACTERISTICS

Joint includes 5 insulation tubes for insulating of wire contacts with pressing cable connectors (LKS) and one jacket tube for jacketing in a place of core bonding.
Inside the insulation and jacket heat shrinkable tubes are provided with a layer of hot melt adhesive, which after installation ensures a perfect sealing of the cable connect.
The tubes are made from cross-linked polyethylene, which properties are shown in Tab.1.
