ZRPE, ZRPEY
APPLICATION
Joints are designated for splicing of communication and control paired cables TCEKE and TCEKFE (joints ZRPE) and TCEKEY and TCEKEE (joints ZRPEY) with copper cores of diameter 1 mm.
MARKING
Marking consists of character sign ZRPE (ZRPEY), which is followed by number (or numbers) indicating nominal number of jointed cable pairs.
Marking example:
ZRPE – 1/2/3/4
Heat shrinkable joint for TCEKE or TCEKFE cables with nominal number of pairs 1, 2, 3 or 4.
ZRPEY – 7/12
Heat shrinkable joint for TCEKEY cable with nominal number of pairs 7 or 12.
CHARACTERISTICS
Heat shrinkable joints ZRPE and ZRPEY consist from:
- heat shrinkable tubes to create jacket over the connected cores
-
liner from electro-technical board laminated by one side with aluminium foil
-
other material: abrasive cloth, cleaning tissue
Inside the heat shrinkable tube is provided with a layer of hot melt adhesive inside, which ensures a perfect bonding of the cable and joint after installation. Mounting process is stated in mounting guideline for ZRPE and ZRPEY joints.
The tubes are made from cross-linked polyethylene, which properties are shown in Tab. 1.
Dimensions of joints ZRPE and ZRPEY are shown in Tab. 2.
Heat shrinkable joints ZRPE are produced and delivered according to PN VUKI 22 009 and joints ZRPEY according to PN VUKI 22 010.

Heat shrinkable joints ZRPE and ZRPEY are delivered packed in PE bags (one set each).
